RATS. I lived in a shared house let by Rivendale back in 2021-2022. We arrived to find the house in an absolute state: rotting food in the cupboards, mould everywhere, literal rats in the walls. Rivendale took months to respond to any of these issues, and even had the nerve to keep most of our deposit due to ‘wear and tear’, despite the fact that there were LITERAL RAT HOLES IN THE WALLS WHEN WE MOVED IN. To make matters worse, about a year after we moved out, Rivendale gave me a bad reference when I tried to rent a new flat. It’s baffling how such an awful letting agent feels they have the right to give anyone a bad reference. If I had to sum Rivendale Estates in one word: parasites. If you have any choice, choose a different agent.

We rented from Rivendale as students some while ago. When we moved in, the flat was not clean, cobwebs, crumbs etc. We cleaned it from top to bottom. DO NOT USE. I have had an awful time with these estate agents. Firstly the house was in a shocking state when first arrived flies smell and broken furniture everywhere. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
