We made an agreement with Letting Angels regarding our rent, and received repeated written confirmation of this arrangement by e mail. It turns out that written confirmations by e mail are not legally binding, and if you act in good faith on their words, more fool you. Maybe they knew that they were providing us with incorrect information. Then they are duplicitous. Maybe they did not know that they were providing us with incorrect information. Then thy are incompetent. Either way, if you want to spend months arguing and still end up £2,800 out of pocket (even before you have to pay to get solicitors involved), then Lettings Angels is for you. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

I would strongly deter anyone from utilising this agency if they are attempting to rent a property. They are deceptive and, although they seem personable initially, have a terrible client base. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
