Do not rent 34a Richmond Road in Solihull or any property from this dodgy, thieving, good for nothing, fake estate agent. Very unprofessional. The landlord, his wife and the agents are complete crooks. Landlord, wife and agent refuses to fix any issues in the property. The property is currently under review from Solihull Council pending repairs as it is in such an unfit state. These people are disgusting. Agent making threats to my partner about seeing him on the street. The wife following my partner out of the laundrette with threatening, intimidating behaviour and false accusations tatics just to try and get us out of the property. Wife and landlord stealing our tenancy agreement after agreeing to sign the tenancy (which should have already been done in the first place). The wife and landlord claimed to have given it back to agent. The agent then tried to claim we have no rights as we have no tenancy. After advising we will be in touch with the police for theft they gave us back the agreement, signed! All of this just to try and scare us into leaving because we was asking for repairs to be done. Not once as landlords did they hold up their side of their agreement, whilst as tenants, we held up ours. We paid over 6 months of rent before realising that the promises to do the repairs was all lies. After reporting them to Solihull Council and Environmental Health, they was happy with the outcome that we was now withholding rent. The windows are broken, the floors are bowing, the bath is cracked and leaks, the ceiling leaks through the roof and all into the kitchen making it unusable. You can't use the shower during the Olton laundrette business times as it is all connected. During these hours the water would run ice cold and then scolding hot. The electrics that they have are so old we couldn't even have a cooker installed. They refused the installation as the whole flat would have caught fire. The bathroom sink is falling of the wall. There was no edging on the flooring and there was holes all over the floors, combined was letting the draft in. Not to mention the no washing machine fittings, meaning you have to pay them to use their laundrette downstairs everytime. Plus more!! In the colder months due to windows being broken and the draft coming through the floors, we would wake up seeing our breath even with all the heaters on. We would also not be able to feel or fingers or toes. They became quite harrasive. They would knock on our door anytime they felt like it or demand the rent early weeks before the rent was even due. Everytime they would see us on the street they would start calling us over or shouting things down the street. As said earlier, following my partner out the laundrette or the landlord cornering my dad in the local shop. The experience from the agent, landlord and wife has been very stressful and traumatic. I cannot stress and urge everyone enough, not to rent with these people.
