I let a property from this company for 7 months and had nothing but issues. This was a first floor flat which was poorly maintained by the letting agents. The overflow from the bath had rotted away and had not been checked during their inspection before I moved in. The bath was used once and the downstairs neighbour’s ceiling fell in due to a leak. This took over 8 weeks to rectify which I was constantly chasing. The dishwasher started to leak, I reported it and it was never fixed. I was fed up with the sheer lack of communication that I chose to leave the property. I was then after 3 weeks after the end of tenancy and multiple phone calls to confirm, was told that my deposit was being held up due to a chair (which I swiftly sorted within a day). I then asked by email about my deposit and eventually received and email with photos claiming I had damaged the walls and repainted them. I’d wiped them with a damp cloth (3 of them) but somehow this required a £420 painting bill. I’m so fed up with even emailing with no response that I’ve taken my deposit minus this cost just to end it all. As I know I’ll be months battling it out. I write this review to prevent others being put in a similar situation by a very inept letting agency!

30 Apr 2023The bath was tiled in situ and not just a pvc panel, It would be impossible to know if there is a leak behind a solid wall until an issue is reported, we do not take walls down to see pipes behind them . We sent out three trades to quote for the work and the landlord had to agree to the prices.It is unfortunate, it tiik longer than expected to repair but these isssues can arise. You were in the property a short time and the property had been proffessionally decorated before you took tenancy . It is also unfortunate that you had chosen to wipe all the green walls with a substance that took the paint off. It would not be fair to expect the owner to pay for this room to be decorated when you were a tenant such a short time. We thankyou for replacing the new chair you broke.

3 May 2023Thank you for confirming that it was one room that was painted. I was charged £420 for what you claimed in your email was the whole flat. Absolute charlatans and should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves! Also, the plumber stated that the overflow was loose from the front inside the bath (accessible from inside the bath) and that had anyone inspected properly (by turning it) it would have been obvious it was loose. I should also add that I did fix the chair I broke. Without any delay - which is more than could be said for Pavilion Properties (Billy would have taken at least 3 weeks to even open an email). You yourself Sally were on the ball looking for a supposedly unpaid deposit before I’d even moved into the flat, which was also an error on your part! Happy to share the emails here for all to see. Immediate payment was the term you used! Note: nothing immediate about Pavillion Properties when requesting deposit back. In summary Pavillion Properties are quick to communicate when looking for cash but unashamedly slow when asked to do the job they are being paid for.
