FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Since before even moving in, dealing with Blackkatz has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had. I work in hospitality and know how horrible customer service jobs can be, but we have been dealing with maintenance issues from day one and over and over again they are ignored and mishandled. Two formal complaints have got us absolutely nowhere- we got a voucher for JustEat for 100£. Don't know how that's supposed to make up for months of living with visible damage from leaks, a broken fridge, broken blinds, broken cupboards, broken oven. Even when trying to organise contractor & engineer appointments, they call us the morning of and say “Is someone home? They're outside!” with no warning and nobody is there! When we make appointments nobody shows up and then they blame us for missing the call-out when we were home and nobody phoned us to ask to be let in. No clue how then hell they have so many positive reviews. They're absolutely useless to the point of neglect.

4 Apr 2023Andrea, We are sorry that you have felt the need to complain. Good Customer Service is really important to us which is why we get so many positive reviews. With the greatest respect your complaints are not factually correct and are not fair. 1. Start of tenancy On the day before the tenancy was due to start there was a leak into the property from the flat above. The leak from above needed to be resolved and the area dried out before any remedial works could take effect. On the basis that it is unpleasant to move into a property with this issue and with the fridge also not working we provided some just eat Vouchers as a gesture of good will. Both maintenance issues were resolved. 2. Appointments Following the report of an issue we called to say we have an engineer in the area to see if you were home and could give access so the issue could be repaired sooner. 3. Delays Maintenance issues were reported on 18/02 – contractor appointments were arranged as follows: A. Dripping Tap assigned to Contractor, and they were provisionally booked in to attend on 02/03. The appointment was booked in with tenants via email and confirmed the appointment was fine. Contractor attended on the day within the time frame specified by tenants of between 9am-11.30am and no one answered the door to the property so he could not get access. Contractor was provided with the tenants number to re-book at a convenient time but could not get through. The appointment to attend to this has now been re-booked for 23/03. B. Broken Cupboard door & Flaking paint was assigned to Contractor to provide a quote, appointment for 21/03 was confirmed by the tenants. Again when the contractor attended for the appointment there was no answer at the door. This contractor actually called into our office while he was still outside knocking to inform no one was answering the door. Finally, as you do not allow access through our management keys, we do require someone to be home to give access for the appointments to go ahead. As stated we feel your complaints are not factually correct and are not fair. We hope you enjoy your tenancy.

4 Apr 2023I have to leave my bedroom as the council has deemed it unfit as sleeping quarters. I repeat: do not rent through BlackKatz.
