We've investigated your claim and I can confirm your holding deposit is being returned to you -as mentioned these refunds take 3-5 days to be processed depending on your bank, you'll see it in the next day or two. Unfortunately with the rental market as buoyant as it is, landlords are receiving multiple offers. The tenancy guide which you signed does stipulate the below: "The landlord’s acceptance of the offer in principle does not guarantee a tenancy as it is subject to references being satisfactory, and strictly subject to the contract being signed and executed by both parties. If the landlord changes their mind after the offer has been accepted, you will be refunded." Do reach out if you'd like to look at any other available properties.

13 Sept 2020very similar experience. pathetic really. as a foreign owner of london property, the inadequacy of complete ltd has now put me in a fix. tenant staying on, no rent, no action or update from complete...
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
