A landlord to absolutely avoid! Exploited my situation when I had to move out and tried to rip us all in the house share off with extra bills he is not allowed to charge. He asked us to do tasks that we had to carry out due to our tenancy agreement, which we did, then tried to charge us anyway. I reported him for that. He made all of our lives miserable and hard and he is not a nice person at all as he only cares about money and himself! In order to get my full deposit back, I had to file a claim against him, too. Also, a visit at the small claims court was needed to fight for my rights. Avoid this miserable person at any costs!!!

The house was nice, however dealing with the estate agents has been very difficult. They charge us for the smallest things (such as £20 for not taking a bin out) and have tried to take £300 from each of our deposits (4 man house) unjustifiably. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
