I tried to buy in Alva Terrace, Shipley, through this agent. They were appalling (all except the nice mad-cat-lady who had 30 minutes allocated to show us the four story traditional terrace cottage). The office staff either don't answer the phone - or if they do can't take/pass on accurate messages. They do not respond to voice messages. Then they lie about having received messages! Then they harassed me for not instructing my Solicitor to proceed BEFORE the Survey had even been done. The Office Manager has a serious attitude problem. Her assistant was courteous but does not follow through. The Surveyer told me the place had every problem known to man - yet they still blamed me for wasting their time! Gee, thanks Shipley Office. You were “simply the worst”, and cost me three months of serious stress and I spent nearly £1000 of my money on a full Structural Survey you told me wasn't necessary! What on Earth are you thinking of selling a place on a flood plane, where the electrics, plumbing, banisters (or lack of), damp, and lack of fire escape/safety measures were all a danger to the inhabitants?! Use this agent at your peril.

The agent that did my valuation was very good and helpful with advice. Unfortunately the property was listed as just the lowest of the guide price not the range. I had to contact the branch to ask them to correct this error. Otherwise everything else went... Read Full Review

I have the worst, arrogant and prejudiced service from this branch. They have favoured a second buyer who came in after me, offering LESS money. My higher offers for the property have not been entertained by William H Brown. The whole process has been farcical from start to finish with William H... Read Full Review
