Assured Estate Agents have been excluded by The Property Ombudsman:
This agent has failed to pay two compensatory awards totalling nearly £6,000. TPO found that in both cases Assured Estate Agents had not paid over money owed. The first was to a tenant who had paid 11 months rent upfront but vacated a month earl
y due to the landlord selling. The second complaint came from a landlord who had not received nine months’ rent, despite the tenant providing evidence that payments had been made. TPO has been advised by the agent that they are no longer Assured Estate Agents Ltd and are now AE1 Lettings Limited. I cannot say avoid to many times... Thanks to Harrison and his company I'm now homeless, I rented the house off him from his company, 3 months into the tenancy, the landlord went to a different lettings agent as Harrison was more than useless and incompetent, 3 months on now I'm hearing from the newer lettings agent saying I have to move out, as the landlord still has an on going legal case against Harrison and his company as the landlord did not receive the rents I was paying to Harrison, resulting in the landlord owing money on his mortgage and the bank repossessing the house, this man is a liability and a disgrace to his profession, he is not qualified as an estate agent I have found out, and use to run a bar instead...how he managed to set this scam company up is a mystery, but thanks to him and assured lettings, in now homeless and having to find somewhere else to live..so Harrison if you read this, you are a disgrace, your company is a farce, and I've reported to you to to the relevent people to get you shut down

26 Oct 2022clearly a fake review: As per tenancy law in the UK the only people who can end a tenancy are the Tennant or a Judge. Its not possible to for an agent by intention or otherwise to make somebody homeless. Clearly somebody trying to spread lies.

Thoroughly check everything! Do a thorough search of all CMP providers to make certain your money is protected. I found out to my cost that they’re operating illegally. For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
