Property block managers and the worst in the industry. If you need maintenance, expect to edit many months. If you want a lease extension expect.to pay 3 or 4 times the normal industry fees and have the like of Jan Parteka take a month to respond to you. I have started both legal action against Urbanpoint to just get a response and First Tribunal action against the level of fees which are a complete rip off. Next week I will start lobbying the other leaseholder for a Right2Manage process that removes Urbanpoint from The Mazion block management and then freehold purchase processes if the Freeholder is behind the fee levels and action of Parteka and Urbanpoint. If you are buying property that is managed by Urbanpoint, do not follow through. As an industry let's take action against these unscrupulous and rip off property management companies and remove them from all blocks until they go out of business.

I am having the same problems with Jan Parkeka now regarding a Deed of Variation for my ground rent. I am in a conveyancing chain and accepted the terms and ridiculous premium set by UrbanPoint to vary my lease. I have paid the deposit for this and now they are ignoring the emails and calls of myself and my solicitor. I feel completely helpless.

I'm happy to receive emails and discuss on mnorquoy@gmail.com I've stopped paying Urbanpoint at that block and they're about to take legal action against me. We're going to court. Parteka has ignored me asking for the costs of a lease extension for 2 years and I want that difference in cost paid by them or a reduction, when the lease is extended. Please do contact me as this will help the case and we can club together against them from many developments

Hi - another victims of urban point here. Price they have quoted to but the leasehold is wild. They are evasive and calculated. Took insurance policy out in my name without consulatation then billed me for kt retrospectively. After a run in with them last year over the Insurance they haven’t contacted me since but I’m sure they will. All this fuss for less than £2 py ground rent from my property

Another victim of UrbanPoint here. Public announcement: There's a class action lawsuit regarding overcharging of leasehold insurance. To join in you need to sign up here (takes just a minute) https://www.leaseholderaction.com/. If enough of us from a single managing agent (i.e. urbanpoint) sign up, they'll take the case on. It's no win no fee, and they'd take care of all it for us, so why not! My insurance through UrbanPoint is extortionate! I wouldn't be surprised if we win this one. P.S. Does anyone have a good idea how we could all join together for things like these effectively? a facebook group?

i cam across a guy on trust pilot who posted in September 2024, hes set up an email address Urbanpointleaseholders%outlook.com, he said: Please email me with your name and building and I’ll create a spreadsheet of issues and locations, this way I can build up a picture if people want to use it for a tribunal as it will show the issues people are facing nationally. Then we can all pose as witnesses for the shocking service. * the % is a @ symbol as it doesn’t allow emails to be inputted* Thanks, Liam ive seen so many review sites with awful reviews on this company, but with everything so disconnected, its hard to know the scale, we need to put everything together. i have my own problems with them over charging for insurance and charging obscene amounts to consult on how much a lease extension would cost, surely the new laws for leaseholders that were brought in have to go some way in putting a stop to practises like this.

Hello guys, I have stumbled across this as was looking up to find more info about this company and the individual mentioned. We are having great problems with insurance issues and there has been a fire in one of the flats recently destroying it. UP have been completely useless and negligent. Could I somehow be involved / in the know?

Our buildings insurance for our leasehold home is arranged by Urban Point, as per the lease. They we charging us £1624 per annum for insurance on a 3 bed maisonette when I could find quotes online for under £400. I took them to the first tier tribunal and the judge ruled in ... Read Full Review

They inflate the insurance premiums, send incorrect service charges and do not reply even to solicitors letters. We found we had to form a Right to Manage company to get away from them.
