The after sales service of this company is an absolute disgrace never have i had to deal with such unprofessional people. They put my house on the market in the spring of 2021 it sold really quickly about two weeks. However thats when things go wrong my conveyancer sent out all the paperwork so no problem there had no contact from purple bricks whatsoever. I waited for my two months contacted purple bricks post sales they wasn't any help whatsoever. Conveyancer was a bit more helpful saying that they would chase the buyer. I eventually got in touch with the buyer in july 2021 who assured me he still wanted to buy and was sending a surveyor and pay for the searches to be done. Then no communication from anyone contacted purple bricks post sales they told me to put the house back on the market. This was now October this time it sold in about a week for more money. I got a call from purple bricks post sales in a matter of days after the sale was agreed i asked why i hadn't received a call after the fist time i had sold it the reply was (have you sold it before) This buyer had said they wanted to exchange on the 20/12/2021 this worked out to be about 10 weeks about 6 weeks in i tried to find out what was happening my conveyancer said she has had no communication with the buyers solicitors I spoke with purple bricks post sales again was told that they wasn't aware of any problems and would look into it. My conveyancer then informed me that buyer's solicitors had told them the sale was not going ahead and that no survey or searches had been done got back in touch with post sales again they assured me it was going haed. My conveyancer had also been in contact with post sales and was told the same. I was then told to put it back on the market. Then i was contacted to say the buyer still wanted to buy and was sending a surveyor and paying for his searches i let myself be convinced to still sell it to the buyers. I had requested to be given weekly updates from this point forward 13/12/2021. I received an email from my conveyancer dated 21/12/2021 form the buyers solicitor stating that the buyers are not moving forward with the sale. You guessed it purple bricks post sales denied that was the case and everything was going ahead with no concerns. Its now time to wait a has nothing will happen until 04/01/2022. After several calls to my conveyancer and purple bricks post sales and they buyers solicitor. I asked the question had the buyer changed solicitors? After several days i received notification that they had changed solicitors just that nobody thought it concerned me and my conveyancer. After eventually getting the buyers new solicitors details thought it was just going to be a case of signing the contracts with the new details only to be informed by my conveyancer that the sale was not going ahead the buyers had pulled out. Spoke to purple bricks post sales and yet again they wasn't aware of this. And now wanted me to put my house into an auction this has a buyers premium of almost £6000 and for me to put a £75000 reserve on it (Last sale price was (£85000). They said it was because of the surveyor's report I have not seen the surveyor's report nor do i think a surveyor has even been. A word of warning to anyone who is thinking of using purple bricks my advice would be don't.

Dealing with a online real estate agent Purplebricks is a nightmare for us buying a property. The first day we visit a house where the hired freelance viewing assistant does not have the pincode to open the key box. The freelance assistant already file a complaint with Purplebricks two days earlier with the same issue where he also had to disappoint potential viewers. Nothing was done to sort this issue in those days and therefor we were the second viewers he had to disappoint. Onwards to the next house, bit of a walk away from public transport, and at that next address there was nobody to open the door. Ofcourse Purplebricks blaims this on the owner who was supposed to show the place to us. With their beautiful Purplebricks sign in the garden they still don't take responsibility for the end to end service. Both cases show why you need have a local real estate agent who has knowledge of the neighbourhood, knows the house him or herself, and can actually add value to the visit and to the conversation with the potential buyer. When you call Purplebricks better have enough credit on your phone since they will put you on hold long and regularly. The last issue is now they want to have our own postal address certified by a solicitor ($$) while that was not the case with the previous purchase few months ago with a local real estate agent. Let us all do ourselves a favour and do business with local real estate agents who actually add value to the sales and buying process.
