Now that my sale is over, I am inclined to be totally honest about my experience with Bradley and Lacy. I asked them to come and value our flat before Christmas as we wanted to put it on the market. Darren came across as being very friendly and as they were opposite our flat and I'd seen they had sold a few on our complex, I thought they'd be a good start. First of all, Darren wanted to put it on the market for £199,950, which would have meant it wouldn't have hit the searches for the £200,000, putting our exposure to potential buyers at a disadvantage. I was very honest from the start and told Darren that I had several estate agents coming to value the property, however Darren still posted the particulars to me, which I kept to one side whilst I looked at our options. Darren called me a week later and asked me if we were ready to put the place on the market at which I reminded him we were still doing our research and he gave me a long speech about how he knew the complex better than anyone else and that I just had to say the word and it'll be on the market. They'd even put the board up out the front without our say so. When I called the next day to tell him I had decided to go with another agent he literally shouted at me down the phone. He called me a liar and told me I'd made false promises to put the property on his books. He also belittled the estate agency that I'd chosen over him, which to me is just appalling and very unprofessional. To add insult to injury, a month or so later he put a flat on his books, in the same block, that was in poor condition, for more money! I would NEVER recommend this estate agency. He shot himself square in the foot, as I would have considered going to them if I'd not received satisfactory service from my chosen agency. Since then I have spoken to several people who have had dealings with Bradley and Lacy and they have also said how appalling they are. Shocking customer experience and how rude you are to insult other agencies who have clearly got it so right, when you have got it so wrong. They also don't use all of the property app platforms, so if you do use them, you will not appear on Zoopla or On The Market. Really behind the times and not approaching a changing market. The selling and purchase agents I had experience with were amazing. And don't bother putting a hoity toity response to my review, because quite frankly, anything that comes from anyone from Bradley and Lacy is garbage.

11 Jun 2020This comment has been made by a tenant we were forced to evict due to many months of rent arrears and extensive damage to the property. Quite possibly the worse case we have had in our 20 years...
