originally they failed to notify their solicitor of the sale which caused delays. I was given conflicting information depnding on who I spoke to on the phone. On the day I moved out of my property I received a letter from them informing me that the purchase was no longer proceeding, I contacted my solicitor she was told that this letter had been sent out by mistake to me and the vendor, apparently she had phoned them that morning in tears. I cocede that everybody makes mistakes but when their mistake was highlighted by the vendor why didn't they phone me to inform me of their error? Finally when I was informed that the sale was complete I was told that they couldn't find the keys to the property, it took them several hours to locate them. I would urge anyone to think seriously before using this agent.

Bairstow *eves I used this agency to purchase a property. As part of the agreement, and so that the seller did not have to wait for vacant possession, I agreed to allow the tenant to stay on at a grossly below market rent on the understanding that I would have no costs in transferring the... Was arranged on a non-fee paying basis so they could get their sale through, so can't comment, but given the level of service received no fee would be justified

The worst estate agent in Colchester. I only used them because the vendors property had been badly market and thus was available quite cheaply. Constant excuses, not returning calls, readvertising when SSTC to get a few extra quid and jeopardising a sale that took over 6 months. On the positive... Read Full Review
Getting rid of the smarmy, slimy, lazy and unprofessional staff would be a start. Realise that buy to letter landlords are key to selling 2 bed Victorian terraces and treat them with a bit of respect.

[[EDIT ORIGINAL START]] The property agent is completely incompetent. They are dishonest, they don't know their job, when they are doing something they do it wrong and where they can they do nothing at all. I honestly do not see why they bother, looking back all they have succeeded in doing is... Read Full Review
