Absolutely disgusted stay well clear of these so called estate agents! Was told had to take a property on a video tour which we agreed, paid our holding deposit 4th March 21 and property wasn’t available until 8th May 21 asked would it be ready for the date shown and numerous of times and calls throughout the months of leading up to it to make sure was still all fine was told yes would be ready to move straight in. Few weeks ago had a glimmer of hope as got told could view just before we move in, called up in the day of the viewing and was told wasn’t that day they had got it wrong was the next day got to the next day and got cancelled as they had the wrong keys and don’t have access to the correct keys. Called up day before moving in day to ask about timing of keys and to pay the monies ready as hadn’t heard from them was told would be met by estate agent. Moving day 8th may 21 no show from estate agent just random inventory man employed by landlord, got told this doesn’t work that doesn’t etc and he couldn’t get out quick enough, left landlords number which was 1 digit short. Walked into a complete and utter dump, dog kennels are cleaner than that place. Called up estate agents and said about the situation was told it was professionally cleaned, I’ve seen cleaner dumping grounds than that place. After sending a few of the horrendous pics via email to the manager I received calls stating a clean can be arranged, that place needed more than a clean! Lights didn’t work, plug sockets move, windows don’t shut, 1 cooker ring didn’t work, nails still on walls, carpets covered in filth and frayed carpets that are threadbare in places from the cat, the stench of cat and cigarettes followed by cat toilet on the balcony! Nearly £2400 spent didn’t expect that! Eventually got my point across and they collected the keys 10th may 21 and by 11th may 21 back on market with still no clean and rent £50 extra. Eventually got a refund this morning and was lucky to have got it back but won’t be using these again! Townends need communication with potential tenants and need to check out places before letting them out like complete utter dumps! We gave notice on our current place back in March and are now homeless because of these cowboys, lost our money on removals as had to cancel them and lost money on our current broadband as can’t use it when your homeless!
