Switched to another agency after 6+months of no movement. No offers made due to a lack of sales tactics, and lack of market knowledge. Opinions on Bairstow Great Barr seemed to be that houses don't sell unless prices dropped, not that effort needs to go into it. ie: knowing their customers demand and target market. Only 1 buy to let sent round when our house is ideal for this. Was assigned 2 different associates in an unorganised fashion, which confused people viewing the house, times for viewing and ended up with a large amount of cancellations. Due to this also, time invested by us as householders wasted on babysitting, work juggling and saturday's wasted preparing for viewings that didn't materialise. It is understood that it is down to the viewers also, but a lot of evidence pointed the other way towards the agents themselves. One associate showed prospective buyers around, themselves smelling of cigarettes. At the end of the first month on the market with Bairstow Great Barr, they dropped our house price by £5000 WITHOUT INFORMING US AT ALL. They continued to pester us to drop even further after that which eventually they succeeded in convincing my wife while i was not in. What on earth can allow this kind of behaviour? This is more akin to the PPI and Libor incidents. This happens because it is an "enabling" atmosphere in the jungle of freelance amateurs being in positions where professionals should be. Absolutely disappointed in this whole process. A true statement: IF YOU DONT PLAY THIER GAME BY DOING WHAT THEY WANT, THEY IGNORE YOU. Thanks for this experience Great Barr, as hopefully this will warn others of the lack of customer relation investment.
What agent could do to change your mind?
The only good thing they did was put an enthusiastic individual onto us named Scarlett, yet by then the damage had been done. The administration was terrible.

Staff generally Ok but let down badly by woeful solicitors Countrywide. Avoid these at all costs and do NOT accept advice to use these as being beneficial. It is NOT.
