Do not trust Letco. Terrible service. We took on renting a property with Letco in Whiteley at the start of 2018 and have just moved out of it. We paid the deposit and the first upfront rent, and couldn't really fault the service. I went around the property as soon as we moved in, with a camera, photographing everything that was not quite right or indeed damaged, but not in the initial inventory. I then sent the pictures to the property management at Letco via email. So when it came to moving out, naturally the inspection picked up some of these defects again as they had never been put right in the 2.5 years we were in the property. They said it had to be deep cleaned with a company they use, which under the current circumstances I understand and accept, and we agreed that the cleaning fee of £220 would come out of our deposit, when it is released. Now they tell me that the landlady wants to claim the cost of rectifying three pieces of damage that were included in in the initial report by me; ie - in the property when we arrived, and notified to Letco at the time. When I challenged this and explained that they had an original email with the damage in it; all of a sudden they cannot locate this email from me. I have now told them that I will seek legal advice about this matter as they are charging us for damage done by a previous tenant and still claim that I am effectively lying about my initial report to them.

These people are incompetent crooks. Avoid! I viewed a property listed by LetCo and asked to be considered by the landlord. We would never recommend to anyone!.Worst agent we have ever used. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
