I chose 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. I was with Oakhills for a few years, and their properties are not pleasant but they are generally no worse than other "student/young professional lettings" agents in Newcastle. However, during my final year of tenancy with Oakhills, the owner forged a joint tenancy agreement where he placed the signatures of myself and the other tenants in the property (a HMO, we did not move in together, we were not friends) in order to get us to pay the Council Tax bill. I had to fight this alone and arrange to have Council inspectors come to the property to determine that it was indeed an HMO property, so therefore the tenants were not liable for the Council Tax. I won in the end, but it took months and I doubt Oakhills were ever held accountable for their actions. Oakhills are a rogue agency. Do all you can to avoid them.

All rooms really looks neglected than in pictures. The house has block pipes in the showers and in the sink, and a leak in my room which was not sorted during my stay. If you want to avoid being annoyed better to avoid Oakhill properties. We booked accommodation for a month (thankfully not more). What we booked and paid for was an apartment with 2 rooms. The Agent's Fees wasn't that expensive, but that is probably because of the location of the house and lack of proficiency of the landlord.
