This is the worst letting agents I have ever used. None of the staff were professional or even knew what they were talking about. When we first moved in we had issues as the landlord tried to carry on paying for the council tax which he kept switching back into his own name and this is the tennant's responsibility to pay. When we contacted the letting agents regarding this they shouted at us down the phone and said "if you don't like it you know where to go". They obviously didn't even know the basics when it came to "all bills included" and believed this counted as that. The lack of communication was disgusting. We were left without full working hot water over the winter period for months and they did nothing even after it was reported several times. We eventually had to contact the landlord directly to get this resolved and we finally had a plumber sent out. They also had to be prompted multiple times to return our deposit, and when calling to chase I was told they would get back to me but never did and I had to threaten legal action for anything to be done. There are loads of other issues we have had with smart move but if you take my advice, don't bother renting or even letting your house through them. If you're renting you will not get any responses from them and if you're letting your house out, chances are your tennants will have to contact you directly as they do nothing. Every single member of staff we dealt with had no interest in doing their job and clearly just wanted to leave work as early as they could which we found out when we tried to contact them around 4:30pm or on a Saturday when they are meant to be open until 1pm as they were never around at these times.
