I rented a 1 bed with Gatekeepers, which to be honest, was a bit of a dump when I viewed. But getting a little desperate as I own a dog I took it, with the agreement of redecorating in a neutral colour, new window seals, new grouting and that I would pay for a carpet cleaner when I move out. Moving in day, after getting all the furniture in, bed built etc i went to shower to find it didn't work. First thing the next morning I called the maintenance team, who told me the landlady said i would have to pay for the plumber as it was working before I moved in. I refused, so eventually they agreed to send someone. i noticed the flat had not been cleaned, the window seals had not been done, the bathroom grout was not new but had been painted over with a grout pen and although it had had a blotchy coat of paint thrown on, they'd not stripped the peeling wallpaper off the bedroom wall. When I mentioned this to them they didn't offer comment or apology. 3 months into my 6 month trial period they call to say I owe them £150 for admin for my new contract to be written. If I didn't pay it within 7 days I had to give notice and move out at the end of the current agreement. As it took me months to find a rental in the first place they had me over a barrel so I worked overtime to earn extra money to pay them. 2 weeks after my new contract began then called to say that the landlady had decided to put the flat up for sale, I would still be allowed to see out my agreement but they will be having viewings whilst I still live there. They booked numerous viewings, I cleaned the flat for them the night before each one, and made arrangements for my dog to go to a sitter, if he was unable to come to work that day. When the tenancy law changed early last year they called to say that due to this I had to pay my end of tenancy fees straight away. I refused. After dozens of calls telling me I had to pay it they eventually said they would take it out of my deposit. I still don't understand why they needed it early as the new law didn't affect me as my contract was signed pre May 1st. In August I got a new better job over an hr drive away, and my dad was diagnosed with cancer. As my parents lived half way between my flat and my new work, it was decided to leave the flat and move in with them to help my mother until he was better. Again 3 months early they contacted me for more admin fees and to inform me my monthly rent was increasing, so I handed in my notice. Again cleaning the flat and removing my dog for all the viewings. A few were booked for evenings after work so when I returned home I would sit in the car till they would finish. The second time I did this I noticed I never seen anyone leave. When I called the next day they told me they had been cancelled, and forgot to let me know. I can't even remember how many times this happened (more than several) I understand if they cancel last minute that it is not gatekeeper at fault, but after the effort I put in to keeping the flat spotless for them, being left to sit in a car in the middle of winter for an hour is pretty irritating. As my contract ended at Christmas I moved out a week early. I paid for their approved carpet cleaner to come in and hired a clean team i had used before when I sold my house, to do an end of tenancy clean. 2 weeks after my end date they did the 'check out report'. They charged me £50 for a cleaner due to 2 cobwebs (2 weeks after I'd gone) and dirty skirting boards which from the photos looked like water spray their carpet cleaner had left behind, and to reclaim the mouldy window seals, which you cannot clean, and there are itinerary photos that prove they were already like that when I received the property. £45 for a smoke alarm that I'd removed the battery out of as it went off everytime you made toast. £35 for filler marks on the wall although I'd been told it the flat would be repainted for the next tenant. And... £10 for a tiny hook left in the bathroom which is screwed into a wall plug that was already present when I moved in. And of course my end of tenancy fee. To add insult to injury, a month after moving, whilst collecting any post that had not been redirected, I learnt from the new Tennant, that not only had the window seals I'd been charge for not been re done (again), but that she was told by a named Gatekeeper employee that I had been 'asked to leave'. I have no idea why they felt the need to lie, and after all I put up with from them, found it quite upsetting. Sorry for the long winded review, but I felt I needed to get it all off my chest so I can move on.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
