I made a successful offer to buy a property back at the start of November. The agent Christian’s error with the memorandum of sale delayed the initial paperwork which was further held up by Christmas. After 2 months of waiting for paperwork I have just discovered I was totally misled about the years remaining on the lease. When I made the offer I was given a figure of over 100 but the paperwork revealed it was just 86 years. I immediately withdrew my offer and feel very upset that time and money was wasted on both sides.
