Major Estates Harrow

The job of being an estate agent is not easy...especially as the general reputation goes that Never trust a Recruitment or Estate Agent. As a customer, I can certainly say that Major Estates seems to be an exception to this norm. It was therefore only appropriate for me to express my gratitude and share my experiences. I first contacted Major Estates in 2000 when I arrived in England looking for a place to rent. I still clearly remember that day walking into their office to register on an extremely chilly day and was immediately greeted with a warm and friendly smile by the front office staff. While I waited, I was offered a hot cup of tea and within 15 minutes, sat down with the renting team and completed some basic forms. Within a week, they helped me secure a tenancy in my chosen area and within my target rent range. The communication throughout the process was good with quick updates at all times. After a couple of years, when I was looking to get onto the property ladder, I was researching for that elusive ideal mortgage rate and signed up with my bank. Then the time came to go to Major Estates to give my 1 month notice to terminate my tenancy. After casually discussing about my would be new home and mortage rates I had secured with the team, one of the colleagues suggested I have a word with the Mortgage team (nothing to lose). This was when I first came in contact with Shonchhatra who not only gave me market beating rates but also took the time to explain about the whole home buying process (which no one takes the time to do). The rates which I received were clearly much better than what my bank had offered - was a No Brainer and immediately snapped the rate. I was asked to bring my documents and given an appointment with the application team after a couple of days. Only when I had completed the application process was when I found out that Dinesh was their dynamic Chief of Staff , the owner. I say surprised because he appeared to be personable and down-to-earth. The team made the application process for us a breeze and helped answer the many questions we had. After they sold me my first property (a two bed maisonette in Sudbury) in 2002, I was more than happy to sell it via them and upsize in 2008, then move again in 2012 and again a couple of months ago. During all these exchanges, Major Estates has always been assisted every step of the way. My most recent move was almost unreal and took over 9 months, this included almost completing the purchase before the seller backed out 2 weeks before the exchange. After the first sale fell through, a new buyer was found immediately with daily communication and updates on progress. I had my mortgage application all duly completed by the ever helpful mortgage team. This included everyone from Nalini, Dinesh, Mehul, Sanket and Sushma who were extremely patient and dealt with all my frustrations, demands and last minute requests throughtout the entire saga. Not to mention the great service provided by the valuaton team who evaluated my property, my home was sold on only the third viewing! Once my offer was accepted on the next property, Nalini kept me up to date almost daily on progress within the chain. Sanket ensured details on the application forms etc were accurately completed. I must say a huge thank you to the entire team at Major Estates for their professionalism and help during all our requests and needs. Very pleased with the service. Whilst at it, it would be unfair not to mention the Lettings team. My cousin was let down by his estate agent and only had 2 weeks to rent his property. When he panickly called me, I suggested he speak with Major Estates. Within 1 week, he called to thank me as Major Estates had helped him find a tenant. Special thanks to Sandip (Dhirubhai) and his colleagues including Kirti Shah, Rehman, Mr Popat, Kalpana and Aman. The whole team at Major Estates have been extremely helpful from start to finish! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent and/or purchase a property. Its almost 20 years since I have now known Major Estates. All my experiences have been excellent since that v 1st touchpoint from being a tenant, to climbing the property ladder then over several upswings. I look forward to working with them over the next 20 years too. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to Major Estates.
