Cons They don’t have eyes on the ground and can’t check what’s going on with your property. Was told hot water has stopped working and would be £60 call out but then got a bill for £215. The part to replace cost only £16. This was not authorised but apparently they can do this and it’s in the contract. Just be aware and get emergency repair service and I’d advise to not use them for any repairs. Even though they took on the tenancy after 10 months they told me I’d have to get the garden levelled in order to re-advertise it again. This caused me lost time and money. This came from the operations manager. The garden wasn’t dangerous just slightly uneven. I lived there with my 4 year old and we played football in the garden so it can’t be that bad. So I thought what they was saying was wrong and another agency checked the property and has confirmed they are wrong and the garden is perfectly fine. Pros They are polite though and this is probably the best thing I can say about Howsy unfortunately. They’re cheap. They’re 24/7 which is great if you don’t mind being woking up and disturbed on weekends. Final point: From my perspective they are definitely for the tenants which is good if you’re a tenant but if you’re a landlord then it can be a nightmare. None of them seem to be landlords despite saying they are a mix of land lords and renters. In my opinion you’re better off using a local agent even if you’re paying a few quid more. If you do decide to use them then good luck! You’ll need it and at least at the end you’ll learn some important lessons about how things shouldn’t be done.

No Agent messed up almost every aspect of the letting. Repairs were misreported, they failed to have the tenant sign the inventory.
