Taylors inability to manage the communication between ourselves and our buyer effectively nearly cost us the sale of our house. They were quick to get people in for viewings, but once the offer was made and accepted, a rough completion time was agreed with the buyer for July 2019 (or so Taylors said they had communicated with the buyer and agreed that date). The same rough timeline was agreed with all the members of the chain, and at the arranged time, all members of the chain were ready to exchange... Except Taylors had not been completely truthful, and turns out our buyer had never been informed of the intended completion date, nor had Taylors' appointed solicitors (Countrywide) had informed their client of this, even though this planned completion date was present on several documents, from memorandums of sale to legal documentation. This caused significant problems across the chain, where other people were moving abroad, which very nearly cause the whole chain to fall through. Not a great feeling when you nearly lose your dream home due to estate agents incompetence, who on top of that started asking us to make concessions (such as paying buyer's rent from our own pocket!!!) to save the sale. Absolutely appalling service, and to be charged an extortionate amount of money at the end of it all, it really leaves us with a bitter taste. 100% would not recommend Taylors, unless you want to add stress to an already inherently stressful process!
