I viewed a property on Saturday (I was not told it was open house, which was annoying, but okay). It was a lovely house and I was eager to begin the process so called at 9am today. I spoke with Louise, who is friendly and accommodating, to enquire as to how I get the process rolling. When I said that I work away from Rainford and don't have a car, she consulted with a colleague and said that I can begin the process by verifying identity with Facetime, passport, etc. and that they would call me back. I called back later today to restate my interest in the property. Unfortunately, Laura picked up and she was frankly hostile and rude from the beginning of the call. She said that it didn't matter on first come, first served - they would decide. I asked if we could get the process started and she said that no, she would not do that for me. I had to come into the office. I said that this was impossible for me today because I just cannot get there. 'Well, we're open late,' she said. I said that they had previously agreed to take the application remotely and let me come in later to finalise it. No, she refused point blank. Her entire tone was off and in sharp contrast to Louise. I have no idea if Laura was having a bad day or wanted a bit of power play over a renter, but frankly I'm at a loss at the rudeness and the refusal to help. I don't understand when Louise had been so pleasant! I was looking to rent to buy, and you have lost a customer. AVOID!

If they would dealt with the issues in the first place in the rented property, I wouldn\'t been left with such a bitter taste in my mouth. Now is too late for anything. No apologies can make me feel any better for all the problems/ expenses caused for 10 months. The only time when they could get promptly in contact with me was when they wanted money.
For the poor service provide was a very expensive rent.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
