So... Where do I start. On Tuesday 2nd April a contractor had turned up at my property however without any notice, therefore I was not home, fortunately for the contractor my partners was home which allowed him to carry out the work that needed to be done. My partner had to get to work therefore asked the contractor to make sure that the property is locked before he leaves. There are two key slots on my door however I have only ever had the key for one of the locks and when I'd asked Pauline Scott about the second lock they informed me that no one has a key for the second lock and therefore it is not used and I do not need one. However this was not true as Pauline Scott had the one and only key to this lock and had given this to the contractor. Therefore when the contractor left he'd used that lock to lock the door. I return home from work on this day at around 5:40pm to find that I am locked out of the flat. My key was turning however the door was not opening due to the the contractor having locked the wrong part of the door meaning I was not able to get in to the property, I then called pauline scotts out of hours number over 20x which you can see from the attachments I left 4 messages informing them I could not get in the flat, with my name, number and the address of the property it was regarding. I did not receive a call back I actually had to follow up with them in the morning as I did not have an response from them. I'd called them and explained the situation their first response was "No one answered the out of hours number, this is unheard of" which is a lie as in the past I have had other issues with Pauline Scott where I have called them and nothing has been done. In the morning I had spoke to Pauline Scott representatives on 13 occasion on which I was told the contractor would be coming to let me in to my property and was "Now on their way"; this was at 9am. I then contacted again around 9:30am to be told be patient as they are on there way from Rendlesham. When I asked if the agent thought it to be a good idea to inform me of this the agent then responded "I didn't know you needed to know that". I left it at that and then called at around 10am where I was told that they were now unable to get hold of the driver which must mean his is on his way. I then called again around 11am which I was then told that the contractor had confirmed he is on his way back from Framlingham and that he was only now leaving I then was put through to a manager*. * said she would look in to what is going on then give me a call back. * called me back and informed me that the contractor was on his way back from Otley. by this time it is the third location I was told. I said okay and informed Kirstie that I would be following this up. When the contractor arrived I was informed that he'd actually been travelling back from Lowestoft which is the 4th location I have now been told. Due to this situation I was unable to go in to work meaning I had lost half a days work due to incompetence from pauline scott. When I followed this up with the pauline scot lettings manager I was told this is not paulines scotts fault and went on to then ignore the majority of my email. I have also attached the correspondence between myself and *. I feel this is completely unaccepable to be treated in this way and would like people to see this before going ahead with Pauline Scott.
