Having rented a property through Hursts I have found them to have lied before and after signing the contract the complete lack of communication is astounding!! They don't answer the phone they don't answer their emails and when they do yet more lies!! and I am only speaking on the letting side!! Especially the lettings Admistrator!!

18 Apr 2019Don't go near Hurst, High Wycombe. No weekly reports provided despite promises for my up for sale studio. 6 requests for stats ignored thus not possible to ask informed questions or come to informed decisions- you have to ring and chase them. The worst was Adam Driver's utterly arrogant and rude responses to my polite request for a situation update - "it's not for us to contact you" he said amongst other unpleasant remarks. He apologised for his behaviour, after two days, but only after I complained, so I assume he had no intention to do so otherwise. Hurst accepted their summary dismissal but tried to blame their failings on Emily Jane who could "have done with more training". Not necessary as monitoring/ weekly portfolio meetings with a manager would have resolved any training issues - clearly basic management techniques are not practised here. Had Mr Driver a third of Emily's politeness he would be a far better man. Obviously unable to contain himself when called to account. Utterly pathetic responses from him and Mr Webb bleating about the "state of the market" when a more proactive and innovative 21st Century approach might have got sales like other agents who are thriving at this time - and that I was "old fashioned and out of date" because I expected regular data! Still no stats about my flat to date, despite more requests to Driver and Webb. Hurst's annodine photos in their window, in which my property was never included, lies about it being in the local press and lack of reporting, indicated that Hurst believed my studio flat was beneath them. I am now with Chancellors who have produced far better photos and a promise of a weekly stats report which has already materialised after one week. The Hurst contract was also rather amateurish compared to Chancellors. Every time I have passed Hurst I have seen staff mooning at cell phones or staring at computer screens and...an absolutely empty office. A thoroughly unprofessional agency, managed by a Partner who can't keep his temper even when questioned politely, and one that attaches blame to junior staff is one to be avoided. Total waste of my time.

Having used them as a letting agent it's sad to say they will do anything to take your money with no return.
