Having used them as a letting agent it's sad to say they will do anything to take your money with no return. Having used them as a letting agent it's sad to say they will do anything to take your money with no return.
The workmen they use provide a poor service and have always left the Tennant calling direct for additional assistance, on many occasions I've had to pay twice for work.
The contacts are poor and they will tell you fees are listed which are not.
The staff lie and say they have not received your correspondence for their benefit, one can only assume they are given bonuses for taking extra income but sadly are too lazy Todo this through hard work.

I have to be honest, Hurst have not been great, at the start of selling my property everything seemed to be OK, Sarah from the Aylesbury office kept me posted regularly and her communication was good. Whenever Sarah was away from the office that's when I think it was a bad service. This is because new people in the office that knew nothing about my property kept on interfering and giving wrong information out to potential buyers, this happened on a regular basis.
I found out when doing some research on Rightmove that my property was being listed as a flat, when actually my property was a 2 bedroom house. I was losing potential buyers for my property as every time they searched for my house on Rightmove my property wouldn't show up. In the end I managed to speak with Rightmove who had this changed and as soon as this happened guess what an offer was made on my property which I accepted.
Once I sold my property I haven't had any communication from Hurst whatsoever, however I have found out that they had been speaking to my buyer and giving them false information stating that I would be willing to break the chain and move in with friends which was not an option as all my friends are either starting married life or still live with their parents, and not once had Hurst spoken to me about this being an option. I asked Hurst to give my buyer my mobile number as I couldn't trust Hurst to give the correct information to my buyer. This caused my buyer to text me on numerous occasions threatening to pull out unless I broke the chain. I would have nowhere to go and effectively be homeless until the property that I was going to go to would be ready for me to move into. This caused daily stress for myself and my buyer.
I have had better communication with JNP than I have with Hurst, JNP constantly kept me up to date with what is going on with the above chain. During the course of 3 months I made various calls and emails to get this sale through, I was constantly in contact with the above chain estate agents, a job in which Hurst should have been doing.
I feel that Hurst are supposed to be representing me but they haven't and I felt they spoke to my buyer more than they have me. Overall the experience hasn't been great with Hurst, and I will not be recommending them to anyone I know. I don't disagree that I owe Hurst a fee for listing my property in there window and online, but I strongly disagree that I owe the full amount of £2712 for such a poor service. I ended up doing all the work that they should have been doing which caused me a lot of stress when I have a full time job to do as well.
Really disappointed that I have had to fork out the full amount on Hurst estate agent fees.

A broken intercom bell thats been broken since the summer 2016 so i dont even know if ive got visitors , and just lately the landlord placed flat on market ive had viewings but also had unanounced viewings on 12/1/17 @ 4.30 pm needless to say i was sat in my pyjamas after a shift at work !!! I had another viewing today at11.30am on 15/117 only to find out it was actually at 2.30 and another at 2.45 which i knew nothing about bearing in mind im in nursing sector and my early shift starts at 7.30 am untill 2.30 pm so find it inconvienient that the 2.45 viewing should go ahead , after hurst would not change time or date to a more convienient time my husband was met over the phone by a rather rude member of staff needles to say wen i arrived home to find 4 people waiting for a viewing !!! How very rude and inconsiderate , unthoughtfull of this company i dont even want to rate them 1 star but i have to but in my eyes they are ungradable !!!!

1* is too good a review but i cannot leave 0*'s, totally let down as a vendor & looking at it we are not the only ones. Lied to on numerous occasions, NEVER pick up the phones, unprofessional & rude weekend staff & felt like a morgue when going into the offices on a weekend which to us should have been the busiest times, due to working away during the week try to organise or speak to someone on a weekend but have to wait until a Monday to speak to someone who can actually make a decision. Scripted feedback, this was only received after we complained about getting NO feedback from viewings, was told we had a Very sellable house the usual waffle but not even a silly offer, nothing. The contract we signed was never explained & we are tied into a 22 week period, was told we could go multi agent to then be told a new contract would NOT be issued but the original would still be in place just that we would get an email stating they were letting us go multi, so basically someone else can do all the leg work of selling but they get their percentage for doing absolutely nothing. Selling & buying a house is stressful enough but our experience with Hurst has made the whole experience twice as stressful & totally delayed our previous plans. Thanks for nothing!! Absolutely useless!!!!

Hurst in Aylesbury managed to get a tenant within 2-3 weeks but 2 weeks after the tenant had moved in we were still waiting for the rent to arrive into our account. Apparently because the lady who does the accounts was away! This was not the main complaint though - the worst thing was the way they didn't pick up the phone so we had to leave voicemails and for days and days we were fobbed off. In the end we had to express how upset we were and were told our rent would go into the account today. But the girl's manner was so rude! I honestly have never had such a poor customer service! What a shame. Their sales team work so hard to get your business and then once you have signed up you feel like you are completely disrespected. So rude! Cannot believe it.

I have been using Hurst now for a number of years to manage my rental properties and they have recently sold one of them for me. I was very pleased with their service as always. They came out to value the property and it was on the market the next day and sold within the week. Sheri done a great job liaising with the buyers, the solicitors and myself. Just wanted to share my experience of using Hurst Estate agents to let out my property for the last five years or so. There have been some challenging tenants in the past and Lesley and her team have never failed to go the extra mile and re-assure me when necessary. I have found them to be hardworking, compassionate and I always felt they had my best interests at heart. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Sheri was extremly professional and personable; providing a realistic and very quick valuation producing all marketing material, which lead to immediate viewings. I sold promptly and Sheri maintained a lovely and friendly attitude throughout; doing a fantastic job in what turned out for myself to be a long chain; which involved a few complications from other vendors. Sheri was always at the end of phone or e-mail and if she was busy she would return my calls ASAP - Sheri and her colleague Carly were great and made the whole experience of moving house (which is stressful) fun; id recommend these guys to everyone for all property dealings.
