Rented with this company 3 years ago, when we were living at the property we had nothing but issues. Mice and rats infesting all the main living areas and just no care taken in the up keep of the flat before we moved in. We also were burgled during our time there, the invader had let themselves in with a set of keys. Let it direct use security keys which means no locksmith will cut a set unless they have express permission from the landlord. When we went to them for some answers they completely went on the defensive. The owner of let it direct was also the landlord for the property we rented. We demanded to meet with him, he avoided us at all costs, Joanne who I can see from previous comments on here is still working there, was not sympathetic to our case at all and had a "tough shit" outlook on what happened. One of the handymen told us that only us and the landlord would have keys to property so my belief is that someone associated with let it direct robbed us. However we did not have the money or the time to take this through court. Please beware if you are considering going with these guys.

We take every report of pest activity very seriously, hence we use specialist contractors to deal with these matters professionally. In regards to the alleged burglary at the property, this was taken very seriously at the time, and dealt with accordingly with the Police. I do not appreciate the accusation you are making now, and suggest you follow this allegation up with the Police yourself. You were also advised at the time of the alleged incident that we do not cover contents insurance, and this is the responsibility of the tenant. If you chose not to pursue it with the Police, then this was the choice you made. Also, alternative accommodations were offered to you at that time to make you feel more comfortable, which you declined. So you were dealt with appropriately at the time. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
