All I can say is thank god our deposit was placed into a rent deposit protection scheme. The estate agent fully supported the landlord in his attempt at taking a unjustifiably significant amount out of our deposit and despite numerous attempts of negotiation it took the deposit protection company to resolve the issue in our favour. In my opinion this estate agent has little interest in the rights of her tenants. I would avoid this estate agent at all costs.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
