Incompetent from the beginning to the end. I was pressurised to use their internal solicitors and when I said I would like to find my own, they only gave me 48 hours before putting the property back on the market. I managed to get it taken off the market again, however this was then followed by terrible communication - they were evasive and rude when I asked questions and provided floor plans that were not of the house I was purchasing. After my solicitors told me everything had gone through, I awaited a call to pick my keys. 5 hours later I had to ring them. They said they would check and ring me back straight away, which they did not. I had to ring again and stay on the phone with them to make sure they tracked down my keys. Having picked them up I arrived at the house finding I only had the front door keys and no way of opening the back door and patio door, as well as no spare set. The next day I rang up and they admitted to giving me the estate agent set rather than actual house keys. Upon receiving the next batch of keys, I found only one full set and a few other keys. Obviously I had no faith that I had all the keys for the house but at least I had one for each door so all the locks could be changed. I thought that this experience could be them trying to take advantage of me as a first time buyer, however having spoken to family friends, I have realised I am not the only person recieving such an awful service.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I was the first person to look at a property. Despite this, I was kept waiting for days to hear that the Landlord had chosen someone else. Every time we called to ask for updates, we were told that the agents were waiting for the landlord to make his choice. I would ... Read Full Review
Act as agents rather than leaving every decision for the landlord. Act fairly.

I used Brian holt to buy & sell & through their utter incompetence have lost money. They did not record a lower acceptance on the house I was buying, then recommended I reduced my house for a quick sale which resulted in a £5k loss as the seller reverted to his original asking price. I... Read Full Review

This is the second viewing I have attended this week where the agent has not shown up for my viewing once from the Earlsdon office and once from the Coventry office. The Earlsdon office had me booked in but had no one available to view. The Coventry office had no record of my... Read Full Review

Brian Holt are just plain awful. We rent through them and it is so difficult to get a response from them. If there is ever anything wrong with the property it takes around 2 weeks to get a handyman out to look at it, then another 3 until it's actually fixed. That's with constant hounding from me, ...
