Tony and Paul had breached the Code of Practice as an Estate Agent and got me to sign an agreement without telling me what l am exactly tied into. I just wanted a quick valuation and with the lies of telling me they have 12 potential buyers already for properties in the area. i didnt have my glasses to read what l was signing but trusted Paul Williamns as l had known him for almost 20 years. They got me to sign a 'sole agency' contract which meant l could not sign up with another agent. I was advised its a 'No sale No Fee' basis. Had l been told l would NOT have used Yourmove. Over the weeks the branch manager became quite rude and aggressive because l would not sell a property through them at a much reduced price. Since putting a review up re the service l received and them not providing me with a copy of agreement l decided to use another agent because instead of apologising Tony became aggressive and he has made a false allegation that l became aggressive and he has several witnesses when it was only him and another receptionist at branch. i refused to speak to him and he slammed the door behind me when l went to collect the keys. I could not believe a branch manager could condone this sought of behaviour. i have now sent all the emails we had exchanged to head office customer relataions Head office. (Tony l do not wish for you to reply to this review as you are under investigation)

We take all feedback seriously, however in response to your concerns about being mislead into signing the agreement, we must point out that you raised no concerns about this, or the service you received until you wanted to instruct another agent. We reminded you that we work on a sole agency basis for a fixed time period, which is common practice in this industry due to the investment we make in marketing your property. The other estate agent should have made you aware of the implications of instructing another agent during a sole selling period. I appreciate that you are frustrated with the level of offers made, but we tried to be honest with the feedback from several viewers and you did indicate in writing that you were prepared to accept. In relation to the allegations of the manager being aggressive to you, this has been refuted and several witnesses have made statements indicating that you were in fact aggressive towards the staff member. Thanks again for your comments and we wish you all the best in the future.

15 Nov 2018Just to put you right Tony., you state several witnesses for the allegation of me becoming aggressive. It was the other way round and it was only Najma at the reception who went to collect the keys form the back and you took them off her and came to reception to argue. You obviously have no concern of mis selling to someone who used the letting services for 9 years. There was one witness and l hope she will be honest about your service when l came to collect the keys. You have become very defensive and l will be writing to the FCA regarding your actions and sales which are mis leading which other reviewers have left comments.

16 Nov 2018Loaf of rubbish??? several witnesses? haha would love to see the statements of the invisible witnesses your branch was empty only Naj the receptionist and the arrogant branch manager Tony. Dear customers be careful of this Estate Agents they are just after the commission and have no interest in customer needs and customer service. Shipways are far better and customer service is of excellence standard. Definitely wouldnt't recommend you complete liars and deceitful.
