Terrible. As other reviewer said, they try to squeeze every last drop of money out of you! They don't honour the law when it comes to their tenancy agreements and conned us into paying an extra month's rent when we said we were leaving. The situation would've been avoided if their staff had replied to our e-mails in a timely manner but we waited 2 months and only heard back from them after we phoned to chase it up. We were then told that it's not the staff member's responsibility to reply to her e-mails?! After the expensive fees we are obliged to pay to use them, they do as little as they can get away with. During our tenancy we also waited 6 weeks to have our fridge/freezer and oven fixed. The bathroom was finished to a terrible state and we were told we could face extra charges because the grout was coming off - nothing to do with us! The landlord was also trying to sell the flat which meant lots of disruption with people trailing in and out to look around, often without the required notice - again, this is illegal. Absolutely appalling at responding to issues, except on occasions they think we owe them money. The fees they charge for their 'services' £180 to change a name on a contract?! It takes 2 minutes to change and print the document. OK, there may be further admin, but surely not £180 worth! The properties are generally quite nice, but the hidden fees and rubbish service make the whole experience a nightmare. Would recommend to avoid!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Not broken the law. Not tried to squeeze extortionate fees out of us in return for a terrible service.

9 Oct 2012As a former tenant i also agree will all the comments, these guys will try and bleed you for every cent you have at you disposal. Be very carefull before signing any agreement with them, as mentioned in previous mails, rental increases are usally 10pc per annum and the service, both in house and customer relations is poor.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Train their staff! Clearly a culture there of unhappiness and unprofessionalism that needs to be sorted. Also allow tenants to meet the other tenants before moving in, if requested.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
