I contracted a bed flat for 12 months and agency advertised parking permit is available for this flat by the reading council. I paid all agency fee and deposit and Reading council refused to even issue me temporary permit saying they need planning permission for this property as the LL has converted the house into number of flats. They issued me a 2 months temporary and advised to get all docs from Landlord before they issue me permanent parking for next 12 months. At the end Reading spoke to landlord and he spoke to my agency apologized and said he wont be able to provide any documents. Due to this I had to finish my contract within 5 months and paid another agency fee and all other cost involved to move property again. This was one of the stressful time of my life dealing with the agency. Through agency the Landlord agreed to pay compensation and this is now more than a year I have not received even a single penny and agency is saying they have spoken to LL several times but hes is not paying the compensation cost. BTW the landlord is based overseas and agency is the only was to contact him.
