A & C Letting

I received a call from this gentleman saying that a supermarket trolley had been pushed into his car from our tenants, I informed him this was a police matter and not something we could deal with, he also claimed that our tenants were smoking illegal drugs in the common ways and outside the main building door, without proof of either of the alleged offences our only option was to tell the gentle man to contact the police as this was a civil matter, I would also like to add that the same response was given by the managing agents who look after the building, however we did write to our tenants and asked them to give us their comments on the alleged events and this is still ongoing. It is also not helpful when the complainant uses obscene language and puts the phone down.

I totally agree with your comments. I have lived in this property for over twenty years and AC LETTINGS were my agents. I had problems with mould and a bad smell in the kitchen which I reported many times.I was told it was due to condensation and the weather.Nothing was ever checked and I now know this was never reported to the landlord.The property is now with new ownership who discovered the problem. This was due to the neglect and the whole kitchen had to be ripped out and all the wooden joists replaced.I wrote to Lee Hopkins regarding this who chose to ignore my letter.I now have breathing problems due to breathing in mould spores.Careless agents who have no regard for tenants or landlords who put their trust in them.

Re Daphne Bells comment. Having introduced this lady to the property she has continued renting I also carried out property inspections whereby every comment/ query she raised was duly noted along with my observations & every detail was passed on to the then Landlord since deceased. Repairs & remedial works were authorised by him & carried out accordingly with no question/ dispute. No one could either see or be held accountable for hidden structural issues & indeed no one was aware of them. When new owners purchased this converted block of flats they would have been made aware of any & all potential ongoing issues that may have potential detriment to both the building structure & the well being of all tenants( there being 6 flats in total) The new owners would have had a structural survey carried out prior to purchase & obviously this showed up a structural fault of which neither the previous Landlord or AC Lettings could have ever known exsisted. Daphne has had continued help/ support from myself & AC Lettings for the full time she has rented property from us over approx 25 years & has never complained about the service she has received in all that time...,,,Strange that she takes this attitude after all this time,after AC no longer has management of the property & after an expert structural survey highlighted a problem that neither the previous Landlord or Letting agent could have possibly been aware of. As a Letting Agent since 1986 ( albeit I have now actively retired personally) AC & all those who work within the company have always & will continue to endeavour to do our utmost to offer only the betst service in order to satisfy the needs of all our many thousands of clients,both Landlords & Tenants alike !!!
