I have just contacted Andrews CEO (Mr Michael Robson) with a very lengthy email detailing every piece of evidence I have from my tenancy (14 months) with Andrews. To summarise, as the full review would be far too long: 1. Waste and recycling bins were full when we moved in, we had to hire a van to take the rubbish to a tip - Andrews didn't do anything about it and didn't thank us at all 2. No carbon monoxide alarm in the property; gas boiler made a very loud bang every time it kicked in, had 4 visits from a gas engineer who confirmed it was a very poor boiler 3. Requested where we could source light bulbs for the house (3-pin bayonet, not available from shops) in May; visited the branch and sent many emails requesting details. They finally got an electrician to look at a photo of the bulbs and tell us where to get them, in NOVEMBER 4. Served notice that the Landlord was selling the property, in November, detailing in writing (3 times, and signed by the Landlord) that our tenancy end date would be 02-04-18. On 3rd Jan 2018 they served us with 2 months' notice, and said "it's in the contract", going back on their many emails confirming April. 5. Have consistently been rude and sarcastic to us; have constantly pestered us asking when we are moving out, even though they had already put in writing April. 6. Hired a cleaner and provided a receipt (as requested and confirmed 3 times in an email and in the contract) to show professional cleaning had been done. They don't believe us and want to speak to the cleaner directly for 'evidence'. Guess the contract means nothing then if we've provided what the contract wanted us to? 7. I have countless emails where they have contradicted themselves, regarding our tenancy, referencing fees, deposits, and more. I have evidenced all of this to the CEO. Never in my 10 years of renting have I experienced such an awful company over the space of 14 months; I would rather be homeless (and I don't say that lightly) than rent with Andrews again.
Awful; £95 for someone to inspect the property - yet when we move in, we have to complete the full inventory and return it to the letting agents ourselves, where lots of the original stains and marks were missed off. £30 per tenant for a referencing fee. £200 pet deposit where they request 'fumigation' of the property.

The fees were negotiated and felt fair to all parties....long may it continue!
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
If you have a complaint then your first step would be to contact the Manager of the Branch. If you are still not satisfied then you need to contact the Area manager and if still not satisfied then Andrews Customer Service Department. You can also contact the Ombudsman.
