DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! I used to rent house from Easyroom4you ,and now It has been 1.5 month since I moved out. HOWEVER, Easyroom4you do not pay my deposit back (the contract said will pay back within 2 weeks). They keep ignoring my emails and texts. I remember on the check out date I'm waiting the agent called Chris (Christian) to collect my key face-to-face in the room, however, he was late and said he got the car accident so he cannot show up. Instead, asking me to put the room key in the mailbox. I highly doubt that the excuse (car accident) was on purpose which can let him escape the face-to-face handover. Watch out these terrible people.. Easyroom4you has broken the law by not complying with Section 213 of the Housing Act 2004 which requires your rental deposit be safely protected by the law in a government-backed scheme (TDP). This means any money you give to EasyRoom4you or Room-by-Room is not safe, and can be taken from you illegally when you terminate your tenancy. Please going to check the Google Review on Easyroom4you you will know how terrible they are, and how many people like me who cannot get the deposit back. And also please check Simon's comment as well, there are some laws provided. ***if you are victimised by them please contact me on the comment, I'm going to prepare the court process, more people more power to against them***

10 May 2018I've also rented a property through Easyroom4you and experiencing the same thing - they are not trying to give me back my deposit. Christian seemed nice moving me in; however, I saw his true colours while when maintenance issues were neglected and when moving out, he did not show up. I've emailed several times and my mails have been ignored. Please let me know how we can join forces in taking them to court.

28 Jul 2020Hiya, I know this seems later than the rest of the comments, but I am struggling with the same issue - absolutely no response when chasing my deposit back. Does anyone have any updates on this? Happy to join the fight

25 May 2024Hey, any update on this? I'm currently a tenant here and seeing the reviews, it seems like my deposit is not safe.I'm happy to join in if any legal action is going to take place.

The Tenancy Agreement was incorrectly labelled "Licence Agreement"; "licence agreements" are only to be used for people such as lodgers, or in students accommodation, where you are not entitled to a lease hold and where the rights of a normal tenant are lessened. This fake ... Read Full Review

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
