my son who is dyslexic and signed an agreement, is being sent to court soon - he has a bakery business and rta are suing him for 3,500 if they win he will lose his business write back, lets stick together they are despicable...

Keep a way from this company they not interested to sell your business they explain to me if they sell the business within 3 months they said if it's sold we will take our fee if we didn't sell it there will be no fee at all after I fed up I called them to give notice as they advised me to give 28 days notice I done this then few days later they sent me letter to pay nine hundreds plus vat in words they trying to sue me for is there anybody could help?email me abu_yasmine54@yahoo.com

I was also a victim pressured into signing contract business over valued very little interest despite being told potential customers lined up eventually took to court for not providing EPC I lost the case and had to pay £5040

Has anyone had any luck is taking RTA down? They're horrendous company that unfortunately KARMA hasn't hit yet.... it on the way though... every single worker of the company deserves something horrible happen to them. How can they just sit and steal people lifes?

Hi I just sign paper last Friday and then realised what I've done. They overpriced my business and would never be sold for this money. I did not pay them yet but as I'm reading your review probably they will try sue me as well. I can't wait for it . I just call them and send them email that I would like to cancel this contract. We'll see what's gonna happen. I'm happy to joining any other cases. We have to fight with people like that.

I am a lawyer. Recently succeeded in a case at Grimsby County Court on 16 March 2018. Successfully argued that the Agreement was not a "Sole Selling Rights Agreement" and so RTA had to show they introduced the buyer to be able to claim their commission. Hi John, I am in the same position and RTA are taking me to court for a £6000 withdrawal fee (which they have lowered to settle at £3000). They initially overpriced my business by a factor of 10 and then told me I was only in the contract for 6 months. I didn't even want to sell my business!!! The salesperson was too clever and somehow got me to sign the contract (which I would have never signed had I rhad a chance to read it and understood it!). Eventually after 3 years of getting junk emails from them telling me that they weren't able to find a buyer for my overpriced business I cancelled the contract and they issued me with a fat withdrawal fee "as in the contract". Really p****d off. They didn't want to settle fora reasonable fee via mediation so we are now arranging a court date. Any advice? Do you think I will need a legal representative? A solicitor may cost a few quid though :( Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

same position with most victims,4 years ago they over value my business and property for £440000 lure me to sell,some how i signed the contract ,after 1 year reduce to 400000 myself still not a single viewing ,now they want to withdraw my business, ask me to pay ?£1500 ,i don,t agree, so he tell me will take me to court, so just check the reviews of this RTA company today , bad review all over the internet, should have check it before i sign the contract, fortunately i bought legal cover with my business insurance , will wait for the court letter from them,finger cross hope i can win .on my opinion this company should not exist . total scam !!!!

Just been done myself conned . Was told can cancel anytime never told about penalty's. also he said they would charge £15000 for service I asked is that plus vat was told no and it is . Only good point and hope I have firstly just cancelled cheque stuff em . Secondly because contract was signed at home address which is business address too sole trader does the 14 day cooling off period come into force ? All help will be with many thanks . My mum is having trouble. They overpriced her business, and didn’t have anyone come to view the property now they want £950 + Vat. In the end we sold our property via auction as I was going through cancer treatment. Can someone please email me. My email is Jay_91@live.co.uk

AVOID AVOID AVOID and just to be clear ... AVOID !!!!! Just had our contract cancelled by RTA themselves as they said it was ‘no longer financially viable for them to continue to advertise our business’. They came and valued our business about 4/5 years ago. The sales guy told us the ‘supposed’ value of our business. We paid an initial fee for them to sell our business and apart from the commission when sold there were no other fees payable. Assured of this we felt there was just the general T’s & C’s so stupidly didn’t read the contract and just signed while he was giving his chatter !! Then a couple of months ago we received the letter cancelling our contract, along with a fee payable of £950.00 + vat for the pleasure. We emailed them straight away to say we weren’t told about this, we weren’t currently trading due to the pandemic and had had no business since March and try to argue the fee to get it waived. We heard nothing for about a month, then received a final letter warning us to basically pay or go to court. My husband called them and managed to negotiate the fee down to £400 as we had signed the contract. He ended the call by calling the guy on the phone a rude name and the company he worked for a shower of s&#t !!
