Yet another money-grabbing letting agency which doesn't care about its tenants, and whose staff seem to forget that despite the property being rented, this is still the tenants' HOME, and should be treated with respect. The flat was dirty and mouldy when I moved in; I spent an entire day cleaning including cleaning white mould off the bed and black mould off the walls. The carpets were absolutely disgusting; I had to pay for heavy duty carpet cleaner and spend a lot of my own time attempting to make the carpets bearable. Professional cleaning was definitely NOT carried out before moving in, but of course upon moving out extra charges for cleaning were removed from my deposit, despite the flat being in a much better condition when I left it than when I found it. Emails were not replied to; on the rare occasion they were, the staff were short and rude. Repairs were not carried out (I had a freezer and a boiler that were barely functioning), and on the rare occasion (after much badgering) when something was fixed, they usually sent the most incompetent people imaginable to carry out the work. This resulted in three separate major leaks; on one occasion the whole living room was flooded which ruined my wooden desk. As I previously mentioned, these letting agencies and their staff fail to remember that these properties are the renter's homes. More people than ever are forced to rent these days, and it seems the entire system needs a drastic overhaul in order to prevent tenants getting ripped off, and the letting agents continuing to benefit. Think twice, three times, even four times when choosing who to let from, and when you do make your decision, keep a detailed inventory and, if possible, photographs of any defects in the property or its furnishings. You will need these when they inevitably try to charge you for something extra upon your lease ending.

I had an excellent experience with Yvonne at the Property Bureau Stirling - the flat was spotless when I moved in, and any issues I had were dealt with in a prompt, friendly, and helpful fashion. My deposit was also quickly returned to me at the end of the tenancy, without any problems at all. I... Read Full Review

Sad to be leaving renting with this branch. I have rented with them for 5 years and have nothing but praise for their professionalism, courtesy, and willingness to help in meeting my needs. I would have no hesitation in recommending to... Read Full Review

This property bureau rented me a house which during the winter proved to be absolutely insufficient as a winter let. Leaky windows, uninsulated tin roof, draft coming in from the windows and from the front door, a road full of potholes and not ploughed throughout the winter leading up to the... Read Full Review
If the agent would have responded to us regarding our complaints, rather than just sending us a "notice to quit" and taken it seriously, we could have worked something out.

For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
