My first experience with this agent was viewing my current flat. The young lad tried some pressure selling techniques, like "so what do you want to do then?" which I obviously was not pleased with. Probably because I am a young female, thought he could push me into renting the property, I did take the property as it was the best value for money at the time and I was in urgent need but felt put off by his tactics. I then have had some issues with the property such as a broken washing machine that I have been trying to sort out since APRIL! After no response for 2 months, I used money as bait claiming I would deduct money from the rent if they did not replace/remove it as I would buy myself a new one. I then had a response within days, stating that it was a breach of tenancy to deduct my rent and that the landlord has said it was a previous tenants machine and I will have to buy one for myself and they will remove the old one. Which is great! I finally can get rid of the broken one taking up precious space in my flat and get a new one or use the space as storage. I then email them back to say when I am available for them to come a take the machine away, which (unsurprisingly) is still unanswered. After my time here is up, I will never again use Meridian. As soon as you've paid the money and had the keys given to you, you are on your own unless you are really, really persistent and even threaten to deduct rents to get a response of any kind. Money grabbers comes to mind
