I would under no circumstances reccomend this agency to anyone. I found my experience with them particularly difficult, hence why after 6 months, I have been forced to vacate the property. During many occasions, I have felt taken advantage of by the agency. For example, a garage door on the property had been previously badly damaged before I moved into the property. I occasionally parked my car outside this garage. The agency then accused me of damaging the door, because during an unannounced visit, my car was parked outside it, and they quickly drew false conclusions and attempted to charge me for the damage. Not only this, on other occasions, the agency attempted to charge me for damages caused by previous tenants, for example, a broken bed frame and marks on the walls. I only lived at the location for 6 months, and within this time, the sheer damage caused to the property could not have been caused by me. In addition, the agency also accused me of trying to poison another housemate, which I believe is beyond ridiculous. When I decided to end my contract with them, I thought the ordeal would be over. When I left the property, me and a family friend thoroughly cleaned. We ensured that the property was left in an acceptable condition by cleaning shower doors, dusting skirting boards, wiping down furniture, thoroughly vacuuming, mopping the en suite floor, cleaning windows, and bleaching the toilet. To my disbelief, I received an email shortly after vacating the property informing me that a £25 charge was being removed from my deposit to clean the room, as it was not left in an adequate condition. I asked for photographic evidence from the agency to prove that the property was indeed not up to standard. I recieved a few pictures. One picture showed a single cobweb in the corner of the room. Another showed clumps of dust within the toilet bowl. One picture also showed some scuff marks on the skirting board nearby a door. It is to be considered that when I entered the property, the room was left in an inadequate condition and I believe I left it looking better than when I first moved in. A simple flush of the toilet would have removed the dust- which had obviously been put there purposefully. As well as this, scuff marks around doors are likely to occur in any property- and it does not make them unclean. I do not understand why £25 is required to simply do some last minute dusting. The property was left untouched for 2 weeks before this inspection- so it is obvious that some dusting may be required to receive a fully clean result. Overall, I cannot say that this agency have been at all accommodating throughout my experience with them, and I certainly would not reccomend them to anyone, as they have caused me much upset and un-required stress.
