Absolutely terrible agency. Firstly, the agent who conducted the initial viewing and handled the offer failed to communicate the only condition of our offer. The offer was subsequently accepted though unbeknownst to us, the landlord in fact had no idea of the condition. When the issue was chased and clarification sought, we we're told that the offer was unconditional and that the landlord had no intention of meeting any condition. The director of Lanigan Estates then began to question the credibility of our version of events once the complaint was raised to her and refused to return the one week's offer deposit. Shortly after written evidence of the condition and the fact that we were being strung along was revealed to her, she immediately began to back-pedal and held up her hands. The reality was that the agent lied regarding the offer both to us and her director and when confronted they didn't so much as offer an apology. All monies have since been refunded though we now have less than 12 days to find and move into a property. Absolutely abhorrent way to treat people and prospective tenants. Complete disregard for tenants. The only competent person was the receptionist who managed to do the job her colleagues couldn't manage when it came to the Right to Rent Check.
