They're good at putting on a charming and friendly face when they want you to consider buying a property. But the moment you agree boy does the tune change. You better really inspect your property the first time round because it's the only chance you'll get. When I emailed for a second viewing they denied my request and now I have a kitchen stove in my new property that doesn't work. It's not much to ask for a second viewing. Especially when you're paying cash. But of course it doesn't stop there. They will keep you in the dark for WEEKS (or MONTHS) with no information as to what's on. Then suddenly when the completion date began to draw close I was rushed and pressured to pay over the money. I was out the country at the time and told them I would make a trip back to the UK in order to transfer the money. I would get bombarded constantly asking if I had paid yet. Hard to do when flying in the air. Something which I had explained to them more than once. So be prepared to be kept waiting for a long time but be threatened with ending the deal (it happened once when it took me more than two days to send back paperwork) or pressured to pay. And should you love the property enough to go ahead and buy from them. Do NOT accept their offer of using their solicitors. The lack of communication was astounding and nearly made me pay the same bill twice. Even though I had confirmed with them that bill had already been paid And after they took my money and gave me my keys (along with a very condescending comment when I was unaware the electricity meter was PAY AS YOU GO, gee sorry... wish I had managed to see the property again in order to really know what I was paying for) theybstopped responding to my emails. In short, if you must use them. Do not trust them.
