Interesting that the most reviews suggest the landlords that use Upp are very pleased with their service. Tenants and perspective tenants are quite the opposite. My family and I were unfortunately the latter. On moving out of the property they 100% supported our landlords decision to charge us for complete carpet replacement throughout, despite our occupation being 2 years and the carpets already being sun-bleached and furniture marked before we moved in, suggesting a good few years use already. The carpets were a minimum of 5 years old and our entire deposit paid for brand new replacements. I lost the will to fight this due to ill health, I'll health I suspect was incurred by the loss of heating for a total of 10 weeks during the previous winter. Landlord, letting agent and assigned boiler cover companies multiple failings led to this situation which was recognised by agents from the local authority who visited and ensured we would be housed by them before the next winter.

Bad, as they endeavour to take as much of your deposit back as possible, regardless of your effort to ensure house is as was when tenancy began.

8 Mar 2017Had a similar problem.My son lost his complete deposit.He moved out because of their failure to address maimtenance issues,some of which were dangerous and illegal.They demied any knowledge of my som reporting these issues to them,despite them sending out an electrician who,condemned the electrics.They kept his whole deposit as claimed he was in breach of his contract and tried to charge him for cleaning the flat ,producing an invoice from a company called "Let's clean" which I can find no existance of.They also tried to charge him for redecorating which was an absolute joke as the flat was a dump and in need of a paint of coat when he moved in.Crook by name and Crook by nature!

I recently had the misfortune of meeting Robert who turns out to be the owner of the company. I was amazed at how arrogant one man can be on a first meeting. What agent could do to change your mind?
Just be a bit more friendly and listen to other peoples opinions. Try to make the prospective tenants feel like they are important and not just a piece of shit on your shoe.

Hmmm where to start, so dissapointed by the lack of customer service.
