We have been messed around like nobodies business. We submitted an application to rent a property, didnt hear anything for a few days so decided to pop into the office to check the status of the application. We were spoken to in a very rude and unprofessional manner and were made to feel like idiots from our queries. We were then told that the application had been successful and that they were in the process of writing up the contract which we would then have to sign and then pay the fees. We left the office feeling annoyed at Michael's attitude but with a positive outlook that we had secured the property. Later that day we handed in our notice to our current landlord. The following day we received an email from Michael stating that they required further information from us and that we should not yet be handing in our notice, which we had already done. A long weekend passed where we were away and therefore unable to make any corrsepondence with MMP. Upon returning home my partner called Michael who told us that the landlord had withdrawn the application due to not having enough information. He was also once agan very rude, arrogant and abrupt. We are now in a position where we have already given our notice in to our current landlord, have packed up most of our things, but have nowhere to move to. To our knowledge, we had provided all of the information requested and fit all of the criteria. The communication skills of MMP are totally non existent. They are rude, unhelpful and we would strongly encourage anyone not to use them. We appreciate that we may have been unlucky and our experience may have been due to Michael's incompetencies and that the other staff may be nice and helpful people, but based on our experience we will not be using them again and will advise others not to do so!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
