Entwistle Green found me a tenant for my property back in January 2016. It was a tenant find service only and therefore the deposit needed to go into my protection scheme as I was managing the tenancy going forward. In error they put it into their scheme, so I asked them to transfer it across to me, giving them my ID number for the Deposit Protection Scheme. They told me that they couldn't do this (even though other agents have done) and that I would need to set up a deposit within my scheme for this tenancy and they would then transfer this across. I did this and now 4 months later I have still not received the deposit. The DPS are reminding me that I am in breach of legislative requirements as I have set up the deposit but haven't paid in the funds. The colleague John Douglas who was dealing with this has now moved to the Glasgow office and has emailed the problem to someone else who has failed to get in contact with me and when I try to speak to the manager of the branch (leaving messages asking for her to call me back) she fails to call me back.
The agent fees would be fine had they provided a good service, I'm just frustrated that for 4 months I have not been able to receive the deposit which I want to protect foe my tenants

I am really sorry to hear of your experience and can only apologise greatly for the delay in having your deposit transferred over. I have raised this with my colleagues concerned and can assure you this won't occur again. Again my sincere apologies, Tom, Lettings Branch Manager.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
