I viewed the property (open house) on a Saturaday at 2:15pm. During that time, I have a verbal confirmation from the estate agent that no offer to the house has been place. At the end of the viewing, I have place a reasonable offer to the asking price. The estate agent requested my ID, passport, utility bill and email to sent to him via email to confirm a serious buyer blah blah blah standard stuff. So went home and sent those documents within 2 hours. No voicemail, email or any other form of communication for the next few days. Checked online and the property is sold subject to condition on day 4! Phone the agent next day (Friday), turns out they stupidly recorded the wrong contact phone number (off by one digit). Was expecting some form of polite communication and feedback regarding the offer from vendor via agent, and would be happy to up my offer some more. Sounds like a retarded school boy error with this communication error. Would you transfer 50-100k as a housing deposite to someone and goes Ooops I've missed your sort code by a mathematical digit? Coming from someone who has been in this job for 15 years (how a condesending BS from them) Sounds like a joke doesn't it?!!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
