We used PJJS as Letting Agent for our property in Kings Hill, on a full management basis. We were extremely disappointed in them: we constantly had to chase them for paperwork, for correct receipts, to ensure that three month checks were carried out; at one point they allowed the Gas Safety Certificate to lapse, which could have been very costly to us. There were different staff dealing with the property at different times, there was a huge lack of continuity in the dealings with the property. Often the person supposedly in charge was not there, a part time member of staff was handling it, who seemed to have no inkling of what had been going on previously.When we finally notified them that we no longer wished to use their services, and terminated our agreement; they gave the Tenant back the Deposit, even though he was still on a rolling contract, and even though the deposit was in a protected deposit scheme. The tenant failed to let us have the Deposit. This was not the action of a reliable letting agent who had a duty of care to the Landlord, and who chose the option of returning the Deposit instead of leaving it in the protected scheme until we had had the chance to set up a protected Deposit. Finally, PJJS failed to let us have a complete file which is our right; they have failed to provide us with a complete file with signed copies of the crucial documents, and this just sums up our experience with them. In short we feel we did not receive the duty of care that we were entitled to and would never contemplate using their services again.
