Disgusting agency - wouldn't recommend to anyone no matter the price! Moved in the summer 12 to a property that had several small flaws but decently presented. By the winter, we had damp all over the walls due to a lack of central heating. This caused my teenage son to become ill and when questioning Belvoir, they kept insisting there was ongoing communication between them and the landlord. In 2015, after 3 years!!!!! when I threatened legal action, they decided to resolve the issue by fitting in central heating. Soon after, they decided it was time for us to move out (why wouldn't you when the property now has central heating to boost the rent). Upon leaving, they decided to charge us with the damages of the entire property that was affected by the damp!! They stated all the walls and carpets that were affected were down to us to replace and was costing them a significant amount (which is beyond ridiculous)!!! They also stated there was a charge for putting the kitchen cupboard back up of where the boiler is which was taken down by the engineer in the first place... Now, since they took my entire deposit, I have no money and have had to move in with friends due to my limited income and my son is currently staying with his father so I see him a lot less now. Can honestly say they caused me nothing but grief from the moment I signed that contract. Overall, disgusted and when I have the necessary funds and find my feet again, I will take action!
