Where do I begin with these cowboys. At first everything was fine. Was mega excited moving into my first home in Manchester, paid the full £400 and everything was fine. UNITL, work they agreed to do to the property for me moving in was not completed (hall carpet needing replaced and the whole flat being cleaned and the walls wiped down). This was not completed and still over 18 months later I am chasing the carpet at the bottom of the stairs to be replaced. Secondly. My boiler pressure was very erratic and was making funny noises. After countless phone calls, complaints this continued for 4-5 months until the threat of holding my rent made them panic and I received a phone call from someone in Centaury 21 (who have now taken over the useless Greentree (not that they are any better.) Since the above, I was also chasing for my room to be rid of a massive problem with damp which ended up with my 2 new chest of draws that I bought for the room when I moved in to buckle and the drawer to collapse. Not to mention having to throw at the clothes out from the bottom two drawers out. Twice a day for several months I was phoning and all I got was "the contractors have been contacted". The contractors did arrive, and spent 5 minutes in the room telling me I had damp (genius) and that I needed a full damp treatment and potential contractual work needing done. £175 later I didn't hear anything back and the problem continued. After 2 courses of antibiotics for a chest infection due to the damp, this was only resolved after threatening legal action, and again, holding the rent. AND GUESS WHAT..........Another problem today. Went to shower this morning. No boiler, no hot water, no washing machine and no dishwasher and still no definite answer when someone is able to come out to the property. Its 12:08 and I reported the problem at 09:31. After several not answered phone calls, I eventually got answered when I called from my work mobile. I am fuming. If this is not resolved by the end of the week, I will be taking formal legal action, and also writing to trading standards about 'Greentree Lettings ' Centaury 21' I have now fallen out of love with the flat and had an awful first experience of having my own flat. I dont care if Elain and Paul read this. They need sacked. Poor Hannah I say.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Get in touch and provide copies of their communications with the owner of the property. They could have Been more proactive in getting a boiler repair person to the property in hours instead of days.

Never return phone calls. Constantly telling you the property needs work and going ahead with it and billing you yet no work was needed. Work undertaken on property with out consent and then the work is done to a very poor standard. You have to chase them every month to get your rent. A over all... Read Full Review

This is the worse letting agency ever. Every time I have an issue they take weeks maybe months to fix things. Even though I always pay my rent on time.
