This is the first house my girlfriend and I have lived in together so it was very important for it to be pleasant. After handing over our bond,admin fees etc. martin & co stopped being at all interested. lets start at the front door. it requires kicking with my steel toe caps to open it and slamming from fully open to close it, the carpet which I was assured had been cleaned was disgusting which cost me a further £300 to have it cleaned, when I challenged martins I was told there was a receipt on file and if I didn't clean it again at the end of the tenancy I would lose my bond. The house was pretty much unliveable for the first month as it took that long to get them to fix the boiler (the plumber let slip that he had fixed the boiler four times) I never have seen a gas check certificate. The house was advertised with a gas fire, correct me if im wrong but surely it doesn't count if the fire is condemned? After three months a huge damp patch appeared on the living room wall and it appeared to be rising through the floor as the dining room carpet was showing ever darkening marks and the external brickwork turned green and moss began to form. I informed martin and co straight away, and sitting here it is almost three months and we still await as much as an inspection. Put simply these are very lovely people, until that card machine has accepted your monies up front after which they couldn't care less, it almost seems like tenants are an inconvenience to them. I simply cannot wait to see the back of this place as it is nothing short of a cold damp nightmare.

We are not sure which property you are referring to or whether this is a property that we manage? We are not aware of any of the issues raised. I can assure you that a gas certificate is always in place before any tenant moves into a property. Please contact us so that we can address your concerns and issues?

I would absolutly not recommend this branch, To be honest more perticularlly David McKnight!
